Meet our Comedians

Joe Bor

Joe is a comedian, writer and actor. A popular regular at comedy clubs around the country, he’s also a comedy festival award winner and has performed warm-up for The Graham Norton Show and Mock the Week. With tales of tough gigs, talking to women and the perils of eating out, Joe deliver a humorous look at life and its absurdities. As well as amiable observational standup, Joe also performs as “posh idiot climber” Jasper Cromwell Jones. With stereotypical upper class innocent stupidity, Jasper recounts his pampered life, his confusion with the natural world, and how even the hardest adventures can be made easier if you pay local children to carry you.One of the most accomplished and in-demand warm-up comedians around, Joe has entertained audiences for The Graham Norton Show, Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, Jack Whitehall's Back Chat, The Kumars at No. 42, The Matt Lucas Awards, Loose Women and Alan Carr: Chatty Man

Fiona Allen

Twice Emmy-winning actor and comedian Fiona Allen has been a mainstay of our TV screens over the past two decades as well as an excellent stand-up comedian. She has starred in various sketch shows, including Goodness Gracious Me and The All Star Comedy Show, but most famously Smack the Pony. Fiona has also appeared in television dramas such as Dalziel and Pascoe, Coronation Street, in Happiness alongside Paul Whitehouse, and on film as Sandra in the film version of the famous Viz comic strip Fat Slags, and Smirgut the Fierce in Gladiatress. Most recently she has been in that little-known soap Eastenders…

Fiona won a whole new generation of fans in the second series of the hit E4 teenage drama Skins, playing Maxxie’s mum, Jackie Oliver (her on-screen hubby was Bill Bailey). She has also played the role of Georgia Stevenson in the BBC drama Waterloo Road, while often appearing as herself on comedy shows like Mock the Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats

Julian Deane

Widely celebrated for his ingenious punchlines, Julian Deane is an award-winning British stand up comedian and writer. Within a few years of starting stand up comedy, he was named Best New Comedian by the Comedy Café in London and won the ITV Stand Up Hero and the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competitions.

Julian has appeared on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One) and supported Paul Chowdhry on a world tour, which included Wembley Arena. He is also an in-demand writer, with his credits including Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), Matt Forde’s Unspun (Dave) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (Sky Atlantic). Julian also hosts the Two Vegan Idiots podcast, with fellow comedian Carl Donnelly.
