My Local Box Office (MLBO) offers charities, community groups, artists, and small businesses an affordable service to sell tickets online to their audience. MLBO is based in the Tendring District, but provides the service across the East Anglia region. We provide a bespoke service with personal support for individuals and organisations looking to expand their reach and attract more sales for their events.

What Makes MLBO different to other ticketing platforms?
For many organisations it is not just about the costs of selling tickets online. Setting up events on other platforms takes a considerable amount of time and admin. Not to mention a degree of technical proficiency to manage those events and deal with changes/cancellations etc.
My local box office takes the stress out of the set up and administration of online sales. You simply provide us with your event details and we will do everything else.

What is included?
As well as your event being set up on your own dedicated webpage, all packages come with a level of marketing and advertising as standard. Your event will be shared across the following:

-
PR will be developed with your approval and sent to local newspapers and magazine publications.
Services
How does it work?
Contact MLBO
The first step is to contact MLBO and list the events you would like to sell tickets for. Be sure to include ticket prices, dates, venue, and capacity.
Contract & Assets
MLBO will then send you a contract outlining the charges and also the outstanding items required to set up your events on our system.
Set up & run
Once a contract has been agreed and the marketing assets have been received, MLBO will set your events up on your very own webpage. Your event will be included in all in house marketing channels.
Your Return
Once your event has finished you will receive a Box Office return which will detail your total sales income minus charges/fees as agreed.
Your final funds will be transferred to you within 5 days.
Set up charges start from £20 per event - Plus a 20p per ticket commission rate, and 1.9% transaction fee.
Example: 200 tickets at £10 per ticket = £2000 gross. Minus £30 set up fee, £60 commission on ticket sales, and £38 transaction fee = £128 chargeable. Net profit to organiser: £1872 (average cost per ticket £0.64 per customer) Many of our organisers pass this cost on through a box office fee added at the checkout. Please note that you will not be charged a commission rate on refunded tickets but a transaction fee will still be charged for these tickets.
* Set up fees range between £30-£80 per event and are confirmed based on your community / charity status, cost of tickets, and the complexity to your event set up and requirements.
* Additional marketing support activities can be added to you contract at cost.
* Our system is fully integrated to support face to face sales. The system can be opened on any computer or tablet to process sales with a customer.
* You will receive weekly report on your ticket sales.
* if the lead in to your event is longer than one month, you will receive regular fortnightly payouts into your bank account. These amounts will be deducted from your final box office return/transfer.
